Ashkhan trained in the City at K & L Gates (previously known as Nicholson Graham & Jones). He established his legal practice at Tarlo Lyons which he left to found CANDEY LLP with a number of former Tarlo Lyons lawyers and staff. Matthew Tom - Partner, Head of Employment
Matthew is an experienced workplace law expert who acts for both employers and employees. After Durham University he trained as a solicitor at Lane & Partners (now Bird & Bird) and has specialised in employment law since 1999. A senior member of the Employment & Resourcing team at Tarlo Lyons prior to joining CANDEY LLP as a founding partner, many of Matthew's clients are in the technology, banking and recruitment sectors. He advises on all aspects of employment law and has a particular interest in breach of contract claims, discrimination, TUPE, restrictive covenants and High Court employment injunctions. Andrew Dunn - Partner, Commercial Disputes & Arbitration
Andrew specialises in litigation, arbitration & insolvency. He studied at Newcastle University and trained at Penningtons, where he practised for a number of years. Andrew advises on contract, fraud and shareholder disputes and has acted in a number of LCIA & ICC arbitrations. With a special interest in preference claims, and advising entrepreneurs he is one of only a few lawyers to have won appeals against HMRC in ‘MTIC’ fraud cases.

After Oxford University Andrew qualified as a US Attorney (New York Bar) and as a solicitor at Slaughter and May in London before his appointment as a Partner at Fladgate LLP and Edwin Coe LLP. Andrew provides general commercial advice to entrepreneurs and companies with a specific interest in venture capital, private equity, mergers, acquisitions and takeovers, joint ventures, corporate governance and investment funds. He acts on stock exchange listings in London and overseas and was a member of the Top 10 Indian Corporate Finance Team 2008 and Enterprise Investment Scheme Association Legal Team Winner 2011. George Gardiner - Consultant, Technology
Formerly a Partner in Tarlo Lyons' leading Technology practice George specialises in providing commercial legal protection and solutions to clients, ranging from SME companies through to large multi-national businesses. He is a pragmatic and commercially driven solicitor who has the expertise to advise on a full range of technology matters, from traditional software licensing and bespoke software development projects through to new media/e-commerce issues and cloud based projects. He has a deep technical understanding of the hardware platforms and network infrastructures required to support cloud-based computing and the provision of hosted services, together with the enabling technologies/software, such as virtualisation and the complex licensing and data security and protection issues associated with it). He has advised on heavyweight IT projects and together with the firm's commercial disputes and arbitration team George also advises on complex IT disputes in the High Court and before International Arbitrations. George continues to himself develop hardware systems and programme them, adding to his already considerable experience gained as a former IT director.
